Lesson details:
50 min* private lesson for one student.
Topics covered include: humane horsemanship, horse care, rider balance, feel, connection, and biomechanics.
Equine learning partners/teachers are Paper Birch Farm’s resident equines.
Safety:
Helmets: All students must wear helmets ASTMI certified helmets. Students do not need to bring their own helmet to lessons. A selection of certified helmets in various sizes are available for students to use at no additional charge.
Boots: Students are encouraged to wear boots with a flexible ankle area and some heel. However, flat soled boots can be accommodated with the use of safety stirrups.
Should safety concerns arise during the lesson, instructors will adapt lesson plans to best support student safety and horse welfare.
Working student program: Interested students and/or parents/guardians 14 years and older, please contact us to inquire about our working student program.
Lesson scholarships: We have a limited number of scholarships available. If a student is interested but costs are prohibitive, please contact us to inquire about scholarship availability.
